Wrote proposal, won and received grant funding to furnish the WPHS Chemistry department with vacuum instruments to demonstrate gas laws, additional sets of ring stands for titrations, scales with higher precision for gravimetric analysis, and further published and physical materials to expand our PLC’s library of rigorous labs for AP and IB classes.

University of Central Florida, Interdisciplinary NSF-funded project

Summer fellowship experiencing material sciences labs (smart sensors, carbon fiber manufacture & 3D printing applications), coding (Java), and ethical considerations of integrated communications technology. Culminating project: Use of MIT "Scratch" drag-and-drop coding platform for student-developed chemical models & calculators. Initial concept presented via poster at a UCF symposium. After implementation with students, learning outcome data was presented along with reflections and concept improvements at the following year's RET cohort presentation.
