This training module was created in accordance to the Dick, Carey, and Carey (2015) model. During this semester I conducted learner and subject matter expert interviews, ccreated a goal analysis diagram, wrote progress reports analyzing the instructional model compared to the content and instructional product, and edited the module based on SME, learner, and peer feedback.
The module was designed to aid in the training of peer mentors in Academic Advancement Programs (AAP) at the University of Central Florida (UCF). The a synchrounous instructional module will aid in training student staff while they are not on campus the summer prior to their mentor position starting. In addition to learning how to provide feedback on admissions essays, learners, or peer mentors, will gain an understanding of how to construct their own essays for graduate school applications.
