About Blaine
Greetings!
My name is Blaine Helmick and I work as the Technical Services Manager at Florida Virtual School, Global Division. Working in the Global group means I travel a bit, thankfully I don't travel so much that I can't spend time with my wife of 13 years and my 18 month old son.
I'm a bit of a Disneyphile so in my downtime my family and I are very often at the parks. I'm also a rabid hockey fan and am stoked that the playoffs are in full-swing. Typically I follow Tamap Bay but since they're not in the playoffs this year I have a soft spot in my heart for the Penguins, so go Pens! :)
As to my education, I have a Bachelors in Information Systems from UCF and am working toward an MA in Instructional Technology. I'm looking to eventually get a PhD in Education so that I can someday come back and teach.
