HEARING WORDS
Hearing Words involves first listening to how words are put together to form a sentence. You can practice this by counting how many words are being spoken in a sentence and distinguishing which words are 'short' (one syllable such as "go") or 'long' (more than one syllable such as "picnic" or "elevator").
Next you practice putting words together to make a sentence, and working to identify what words are at the beginning, end, or in the middle of a sentnce. Words in a sentence should also be manipulated (added, deleted, or changed) to deepend and strengthen this skill.
