Behind Every Ebay Screenname is a Story! There is a reason why people start to sell on Ebay and below is our "story" on why we got started!
Q: Why did you start selling on Ebay? A: We are just a couple of Graduate Students who also happen to be young parents. Due to losing one source of income, we decided to start selling items during the Summer of 2011. We started small by cleaning out our closets to make "bill money" for the month.
Q: What was the first item that you sold? A: Our first item that we sold was a Pair of Sperry Shoes that were too big and just sat in our closet (well under the bed in its box). We made our first PayPal sale, shipped the item and thought, "Wow! That was easy!"
Q: Do you focus on a particular item to sell or do you just sell "everything"? A: Although we sell a wide variety of items, we have found that selling clothing (particularly Excellent and Good Condition lots of Brand Name clothing) has yielded good profits. Now, we aren't millionaires and we can't afford to "quit our jobs" but it does pay for some of the bills every month!
Q: How do you create a basic listing to get started? A: Selling on ebay is pretty easy! All you have to do is sign up for an ebay account (if you have not done so before) and follow this presentation on How To Create a Basic Listing. It is narrated with audio so be sure to have your speakers turned on to a comfortable level prior to playing the presentation.
