    Study of the basics of Database programming. Emphasize the importance and use of this language as a tool for solving typical problems in business practice.
  • COMP 275- Hardware and Software - Dr. Lilian Velazquez Zamora
    Learn to install, update and maintain the equipment and programs to microcomputers. Practice exercise that enables to combine the theory with practice.
  • COMP 285- Web Page Publishing - Prof Lourdes de Leon
    The course is designed to combine theory and practice in creating pages in the Internet. An introduction to hypertext, page layout and creation is provided using the HTML language.
  • COMP 262 - Hypertext Markup Language - HTML - Dr. Lilian Velazquez Zamora
    Study and development of the basic skills to design Internet pages in HTML (hypertext markup language). Learn how to work with hypertext, hyperling and hypermedia, through programming.

  • COMP 305 - Structured Query Language: SQL - Dr. Lilian Velazquez Zamora
    Course offers theoretical and practical knowledge on the use of the "Structured Query Language ”. Emphasis on creating, updating, maintaining, and managing databases related data using SQL commands.
  • COMP 326 - Operating Systems
    Emphasis on the concept that two computerized systems are a set of equipment that perform the necessary operations for data processing. Discussion of techniques used to increase the efficiency of the equipment through operating systems such such as: operating system functions, equipment management, process management, concepts of communication networks, distributed systems and virtual memory, among others. Discussion of operating system as a program that intertwines computer and application programs.
  • COMP 310 - C Language
    Study of the fundamentals and general concepts of Language C and its applications to commercial activities. It covers the study of the basic instructions and commands of the language, using formulas and commercial applications. Commercial-mathematical approach aimed at the application of concepts of Economics, Finance, Management and Statistics
  • COMP 322- System Analysis and Design - Dr. Lilian Velazquez Zamora
    Study of the procedures and tools to modify computerized systems or manuals. Includes use and preparation of data flow diagrams, screen layout, reports and files. Examining the functions of the systems analyst and other concepts general analysis and design of computerized systems.

  • COMP 315 - Java Programming Language - Dr.Lilian Velazquez Zamora
    Study of the Java programming language for developers of Web programs. Course provides the opportunity to work on the design of Internet pages, interacting outside of a server environment. In addition, systems will be developed that can be executed in any computer platform and risk free.
  • COMP 432 - Operating Systems
    Discussion of basic concepts and terms of an information system in a company and how it affects decision-making and policy setting of the company. Analysis and discussion of computer-based systems, which provide the capacity for data processing as well as the necessary information for decision-making by management. Emphasis on the elimination of duplication data and in the integration of all the company's systems.

    Emphasis on the study and design of the different possible communication networks for the systems electronic data processing. It includes the analysis of said communication networks and its effectiveness and utility in business processes, especially the use of centralized networks and decentralized.

    Learn the principles of electronic commerce. Understand the definition of electronic commerce, while overviewing of what the Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C), security and privacy, aspects Legal and Web Marketing.

    The course provides basic knowledge to use an electronic worksheet in solving business problems. Other topics are included: creation, arrangement and data classification, graphics processing and projections
