Work experience relevant to e-Learning: Researching, creating, piloting and publishing virtual learning modules based on adult learning theory and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. Modules are designed to be interactive across multiple modalities and techniques that enhance learning outcomes. Modules reviewed and revised with content experts.
Responsibilities:
• Researching and designing interactive virtual learning modules within deadlines
• Conducting literature reviews that directs program curriculum and policy
• Designing and conducting research projects as the Primary Investigator (1) and Secondary Investigator (2)

Working with various medical stakeholders to develop and review virtual learning to be in line with best practices. Identifying opportunities to support in-person learning with supplemental online learning materials. Ensuring consistency between Clerkship objectives and assignments/activities. Facilitating talks between Information Technology and the Clerkship Director to offer online didactics for students that were traveling from alternate sites. Initiating a cost saving solution by tracking module completion in Moodle through SCORM instead of manually tracking completion.

Leadership

Pivio Faculty Working Group (2014)
Pivio is an online portfolio developed by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME). Pivio is intended to serve medical professionals throughout their career. My role in the Faculty Working Group is to discuss important features for medical faculty with Pivio designers.

Southern Group on Educational Affairs (SGEA), Co-presenter (2014)
Presented a workshop with the Faculty Development team titled “identifying Your Curricular Identity”. Helped prepare workshop materials and send out post-workshop communications.

Model United Nations (MUN), Teacher Advisor (2012-2013)
Direct students on researching, problem-solving, communication and synthesizing various perspectives to settle on a resolution that addresses a global issue.

Students Run Los Angeles (SRLA), Coach (2012-2013)
The mission of SRLA is to teach at-risk youth in Downtown Los Angeles how to lead a nutritional lifestyle and to provide them with the tools they need to set goals to overcome challenges, through training for and completing the L.A. Marathon.
