During my internship I had the opportunity to work with a team of 20 Instructional Designers at the University of Central Florida's Center for Distributed Learning. This team is dedicated to creating and maintainin relationships with UCF faculty through which they can provide guidance and promote a culture of quality in online instruction.

Throughout this time I observed consultations, meetings, and worked on projects under the supervision of the Instructional Design team.

This video was created in collaboration with Crystal Harper as short lesson for students in EME 6417. The final project of the class is to create a module for an online class, with a storyboard being part of the final submission. The objective of this video is to provide students a resource that will help them develop a storyboard that plots out online learning and its contents.

For more information on this video and its creation visit the Storyboarding Project section of my Internship page.

This is the major project that I worked on during EME 6417 and EME 6458. I utilized the knowledge and skills acquired during my graduate coursework to build this online course. Though made for the Canvas LMS, I have adapted it to this web site format to view the course without needing to sign into Canvas. Please note that this is just a sample of the full course and does not contain all features that Canvas provides.

Course Flowcharts and Storyboards

credit cards

In EME 6613 I collaborated with two fellow students on the development of a lesson about credit cards for a financial literacy OER resource. The development process involved consulting with a former Vice President and Executive for a major bank as a subject matter expert. Linked to this portfolio are the flowcharts and storyboards that we created for the lesson.

Adobe Dreamweaver Tutorial

Web site coding

In ENC 6296 I created this tutorial for Adobe Dreamweaver. It is intended for learners with little to no experience with the software. By the end of it the learner will be able to create a basic web site.
