Welcome to my e-portfolio
In my e-portfolio I will review my resume, courses taken and will
take in my future, links, and projects I have endured on in the past
semester since starting my Master's program.
I am originally from a suburban town in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
called Warrington. It is in Bucks County, PA. I was born and raised in
Warrington until I was 18 years old and moved to Florida to pursue my
college degree in 2012. I originally attended Florida Atlantic
University studying Hospitality Management. Upon working at Disney at
the Grand Floridian, I realized my time with my family during holidays
and weekends was more valuable to me than this career opportunity. That
is when I changed my major to Technical Education. I transferred home
after attending Florida Atlantic University and attended Valencia
College- Osceola Campus where I obtained my AA in General Studies. I
utilized the Direct Connect to UCF program and transferred to UCF my
Junior year. I joined the Technical Education and Industry Training
program here at UCF with Dr. Whiteman. I also picked up a minor in
Exceptional Student Education. Because of my transfers between three
different schools, unfortunately I lost credits as well as time and I
was not able to graduate on time. I also picked up my minor which also
contributed to my delayed graduation date. However, I became determined
and gained confidence in myself that I would in fact graduate on time
whatever it took. I took five classes each semester in Fall 2014 and
Spring 2015 and I also took four summer classes in the Summer of 2015
to catch up. Nonetheless, I did catch up on credits and I am proud to
say I graduated on time in Spring 2016!!!
I am also proud to say that I started my Master's degree in Fall 2016 and will hope to graduate in 2018!!
